He's a comically (but realistically) sensitive person who would only call Mike sir and would need to take therapy after the things he's done, but he's still in a Bad Boys movie so he can casually flip people over his head with one hand. He's the comic relief, but it's important to note that he's never the butt of the joke. It all turns him into this surprising contrast with the bombast of the rest of the cast. While the rest of the group brushes the idea aside, they don't tease or mock Doran for wanting to pursue it. He even brings up group therapy to the rest of AMMO. He outright admits he's going to need a lot of therapy after taking part in the final battle. He's just as tough as he looks, but even when he basically Hulks out and takes down enemies, it's not portrayed as something he enjoys. In a film all about changing views about the world, Doran is quietly a very interesting character. He even breaks a piece of the building's structure by tackling it. But when he's called upon for the final battle, he proceeds to take down multiple assailants on his own.

During his tenure, though, a patron assaulted a woman, and Doran went off. It's eventually revealed that Doran is a former nightclub bouncer, explaining his apparent strength and massive size. But he's not the typical meek or portly agent who fills this kind of role. While the other members of AMMO primarily serve as field agents, Doran keeps himself to the headquarters of the group. In the nomenclature coined by Spider-Man: Homecoming, he's the guy in the chair.
